today was a big day in andy's army career:
he was promoted to captain!
being promoted from lieutenant to captain in the officer corps is a pretty big deal
in the army world, so i couldn't be more proud of him.
tradition requires that the wife/significant other "changes" the rank
on the front of his uniform, gives him a kiss, and then pins
the new rank on his beret.
this was the first time i played a part in an official army ceremony
{with the colonel there no less!}, so i was nervous.
i remember when we were in college and he said that when his ROTC
commitment would be finished, he would be a captain.
now we're {almost} there...and it's truly been a dual journey.
i know how many early mornings, late work days, unbelievable stress
{and responsibility}, time, sweat, and hard work
has gone into this promotion.
i am, and always have been, amazed & inspired by his selflessness and
commitment to duty.
love you, captain mark!

how is it already the end of may?!
