last week i had grits for the first time and i loved them.
and
i've decided i do love the way little southern kids learn to address adults as "sir" and "ma'am" from the time they are wee ones {it was so foreign at first}...and how they all call their moms "mama".
and
it's been in the upper 80s the last few days {remember how it's only early may?}.
and
i stumbled across a new home decor store tucked into the historic streets of downtown clarksville. it's the cutest little corner storefront and is oozing southern style. the women who own it are all army spouses and swooped me under their wing immediately, giving me advice & nodding in agreement as we discussed my-significant-other-is-a-solider related things.
and
...i think leaving our life in this little army town and ending our southern adventure is going to be harder than i anticipated.

Uh oh - you're making me sentimental about Mexico and I still have months to hang down here! It's wonderful to find those little things that make you appreciate where you are even more. :D
