summer snippet.

now that fall is officially here, it's probably time to (reluctantly) put a little closure on summer. i’m resigning myself to turning on the heat and preparing for the long, cold months ahead (whomp, whomp). i mean, i was out raking leaves this past weekend...i just need to get.over.it. we had such a wonderful summer, though—i think i’ll go ahead and capture some of those moments right here for ol’ posterity’s sake.

summer kicked off with the wedding-reunion of two study abroad friends at the beginning of june in chicago. we spent the rest of that month playing soccer and volleyball & celebrating friends’ birthdays and a bride-to-be. at the end of the month, right before we hopped on a plane to fly to istanbul, we found out our little one will be joining us at the end of february. we soaked up ten days on the busy streets of istanbul and the glorious beaches of mykonos basking in our little secret…and enjoyed some incredible travel/exploring time.

key words for august: colorado and new york city. time with family in the mountains and time with girlfriends in the city…both equally fun & soul-satisfying. there was also more volleyball and some friend birthdays to celebrate.
