according to my 2012 archives and the current calendar, march is a slow month for posts.

i'm not okay with that!

really hoping to settle into this space more in 2013.

in unrelated news (unrelated to anything worth mentioning at all), here are some pictures of our walls.

they've slowly been filling up with things we love.

in total, we probably spent less than $150* for everything you'll see below.

maps torn from a vintage calendar i had a couple years back {so glad i saved it!}.

four frames from michael's, done & done.

these actually look a little crooked in the picture, but they're straight as an arrow in real life...we have our level and tape measure to prove it. we had to re-hang them because i'm of the "i have no patience and just want to get them up" variety, which gave us a crooked grid. we also had to work with some sizable holes in the wall i wanted to cover up. {which we could have gone through the process to patch and repaint, but, see
aforementioned lack of patience sometimes.}

this is why i never excelled in chemistry lab ("ehhh, good enough...") and why i will never be a fantastic quilter like my mom. precise measurements? who needs 'em? {turns out i do, 'cause the crooked pictures bugged the hell out of me.} i'm workin' on it!

my little sister gave me this great handkerchief of milwaukee for christmas. i knew i had to hang it. frame + insanely cheap craft store paper = hung. you can see how the papers weren't lined up perfectly, but you'd never know. super easy little project. i like the vintage feel the paper gives to it.

in my closet:

inspired by this inspiration (see?) board, i created one for my own closet. just spray painted a regular bulletin board i had lying around and added some little brass brads for a border.

above it hangs a drawing of my wedding dress done by andy's aunt. i cherish it so much & love having it in my lady "dressing chamber" (as it's been called a few times by the man of the house).

in the sunroom:

some funky floral art. i think this was $6. and i love it.

in the upstairs bathroom:

and lastly the little botanical print in our newly revamped bathroom. (i think it was also ~$6.) i promise pictures will be up in the next week...just waiting on a new bath mat to arrive!

we have a ton of to-do's and wish list additions for the house {it takes years of slowly curating it all, right?}, but with spring around the corner we'll soon have outdoor expenses too {new plants, patio furniture/outdoor rug, new WINDOWS (ugh), etc.}. plus that mini vacay. the decor budget will be thin over the coming months...but i will continue to share as we go! i love documenting the progress.
