since it's nearly the end of summer
{or you may live in the south & have two more months of it?},
i thought it'd now be fitting to share some recipes i've enjoyed this season.
makes perfect sense, right?
riiight.
anyway, i think these are new summer favorites,
except for the pizza.
you can eat pizza anytime, anywhere, any day.
{or is that just me?}
i found this at a great, recipe-rich blog
{authored by 3 fellow marquette alums no less!}.
an interesting twist on a bland fruit salad for bbqs.
melon & mozzarella salad
i had a wholelotta kale leftover from
a farmstand put on by the program i used to work for
in tennessee.
naturally, i wanted to make pizza
{see above declaration},
so i just swapped in the kale.
the carnivore-who's-turned-omnivore-out-of-love
with whom i share meals didn't give it rave reviews,
but i really liked it and found it even more
delicious as cold leftovers the day after.
{again, pizza: any day, anywhere, any way}.
bon appetit!

"why are we together if we're so different?" - my comment to jaime last night referring to our eating preferences/styles. he said maybe i should've married a girl - and he's right cuz that pizza looks amazing!! jaime and andy can go eat steaks while we make creative dishes with veg from the market...
