last week i went to see horse feathers perform at a really great venue not too far from my place.

they.blew.me.away. 

if you remember, andy and i were pretty hooked on the album right before he deployed, so although i was a bit more emotionally invested in the songs than usual, they absolutely left me floored.

i felt like i was a giant hole being slowly filled up with every song they performed and in the midst of last week, 

i could not have asked for anything better.

let's just say there was a cello, a violin, and a musical saw...

aka, a killer musical combo.

in related information, the cello may be my favorite instrument.

sometimes andy & i argue about which instruments we will lovingly force encourage our children to play.

sorry, babe, but i think it has to be the cello. what little kid wants to play the oboe anyway?
