one year ago today we moved into our sweet first home. andy & i were laughing today about how happy we are to NOT be hauling stuff from our old place and unpacking for weeks on end. it feels wonderful to be settled in...and to, little by little, tackle some of the projects on our to-do list. one of those was giving the front door a face-lift. neither of us were big fans of the old storm door (with the fake window panes--just tape). we'd love to replace it some day with something more in line with an original style, like these. we figured we had nothing to lose because we don't particularly love the color/style of the regular door either. if it didn't turn out well...whatever!
i'm still getting used to it, but i think it's a nice change for now. we picked a soft grey and, in my dream world, it will pair nicely with the new roof shingles i'd eventually love to get. always something more...!
i love this little home & am feeling so blessed that its ours. it's only been a year and we already have so many good memories created between these walls (and under those backyard trees!). i'm looking forward to many more days inside that grey front door.

I love it! Your wreath makes me jealous that everyone's anticipating fall... I'm anticipating less than 90 degree days. :)
