i know it's memorial day weekend, the kick-off to summer, 

but temps here this weekend really make it hard to believe summer will actually arrive. 

{i am going to bask in the heat this summer; just positively adore every last drop of sweat. 

don't let me complain for a single second!} 

let's take things back a little, though: how is it that we always forget how amazing spring is?!

it's really done wonders for general well-being in our little corner of the world.

we've felt like real adults in the last few weeks, tending to our garden/yard & planting...

ie, trying to figure out how the hell you manage a lawn that needs a lot of love.

but you know what will make you feel really old really fast?...when you're sore from doing yardwork.

it's been fun to see what pops up in this space we inherited.

.:. a visit from the best dad ever.

when you have a bunch of siblings, there's something special about one-on-one parent time.

it never gets old.

.:. thursday night drinks with ladyfriends

.:. driving around town running errands with claire on a sunny day off, eating chipotle chips out of the bag.

endless time in target with nowhere to be?

damn....especially since they all looked so happy & radiant & beautiful!

.:. pillow talk with my favorite person while morning sunshine streams through the windows behind him.

.:. stopping on our walk home from the grocery store the other night to inhale the sweet scent of the trees.

.:. getting back on the soccer field. i've missed playing so much.
