home tour: upstairs bathroom

and now the little bathroom facelift! finally!

unfortunately i only have a handful of crappy iphone "before" pictures,

but you can at least see the underwhelming features of the bathroom's previous state,

mainly the large orange monstrosity (aka: shelf) that we inherited with the house.

the paint color does not show at all through the pictures, which is too bad.

the color was called 'ancient marble' and it's a really nice, soft mossy grey-green.

you can see in the last 'before' shot that there are two hunter green tile stripes in the shower.

since i don't plan on having loads of cash to re-do the shower any time soon (i wish!), 

i figured i'd at least work within the same color scheme.

plus, i love cool, serene colors for bathrooms.

all in all, it was probably a little under $100 to revamp this little space.

just the cost of paint + a new bathmat + wall print + little plant.
we had a gift card that covered the cost of the shelf.

...it was hard to get a panoramic shot of the space because it's so small,

but i think you get the idea. :)

the rug doesn't go perfectly with the tile (but what would? blech), but i like how it adds a bit more texture.

just gotta live with that tile until i can get some white marble. 

(uh hem, along with a new shower...big bathroom dreams over here.)

it's a much better space now, especially when morning light streams through the skylight.
