july happy.

i finally feel like things are {sort of} coming together in this little tennessee abode.

nothing like full bookshelves-my favorite!-to make you start feeling at home.

the only sad thing about making a guest room cozy is having

it empty again.

annie graced us--literally--with her presence

over the fourth of july.

we did fun things like eat good, summery food; 

talk endlessly over endless cups of coffee;

drink arnold palmers & mint juleps;

watch fireworks;

take touristy nashville pictures;

and hang out in the pool until our fingers & toes were prunes.

i swear the flowers in her room wilted the second she left.
