on saturday i took a little stroll--sans baby, some precious alone time!--down our street to run some errands. i love that i can get so much done on foot, just a few blocks from our home. (added bonus: pediatrician and dentist are also on this street!)
here's what it looked like:

i usually can't resist stopping into paperwork to peruse and see what's new. i ended up buying a little pack of cards (more stationery! love me some paper goods). chatted with the quirky older woman (again) who owns the shop...somehow we ended up talking about the pope? (what i didn't talk about is the fact that i'd love to take over her store one day.)
last stop: the local sendik's (andy says "the old-timey grocery store") for a needed dinner ingredient and morning pastries!
here's what it looked like:
stopped at the bookstore for a newspaper, then into the adjoining starbucks for a little caffeine fuel/latte...
hit up the 10am-noon basement thrift store at this cute corner church. dropped off a couple things and picked up a cool vase & some vintage stationery/cards for a whopping 50 cents total.

back home by 11:15 am, total round-trip-from-home errand time: ~ 45 minutes
it's definitely a sweet little life on our avenue of milwaukee.
