i'm still lucky to sleep in my childhood bedroom whenever i go home (although it's partially an office now).
i always find a little pile on my bed of things my mom has collected for me to see:
newspaper clippings, articles, books, old childhood things she's come across, etc.
when i went home for thanksgiving, i walked into my room & saw this:
i instantly knew what it was and it made me SO happy.
when i was a toddler, i insisted on wearing necklaces...at all times.
can a love for baubles & jewelry start so young?
oh yes, yes it can.
i wore these beaded necklaces everywhere.
i'm positive there's a picture of me wearing the one above with only a diaper on...but i couldn't find it.
you can see below, though, how no toddler outfit of mine was without a little accessory.
how sweet is it that my mom would string these beads onto shoelaces & string for me?
she said she was always afraid i'd choke on them...but i just had to have them...so she made them extra long.
i've told andy to get ready for a chubby little girl obsessed with baubles & beads
{he's convinced we're having a girl}...
just like her momma.
