interrupting normal programming for a little DIY project.

this piece was originally owned by andy's grandparents

and was a stereo chest/cabinet thingy

(very technical over here).

i had hung andy's ugly but very cool (and, unfortunately, pre-framed) army "colors" 

in the corner of our office. 

{each army unit has its own flag; the "colors" are a symbol/token of that flag.}

needless to say, this space needed some sprucing.

enter the new chest/cabinet thingy

(same name, new color).

his michael jordan autographed basketball,

vintage fan,

books,

candle.

done.

not sure if this little vignette will stay permanently,

but it will be fun to create more as we go along.

i forgot to capture the very "before" stage,

but you get the idea.
