when andy was little, he asked his mom why god
made him "broken."
well, yesterday, my friends, what god made broken
was corrected!
::enter lasik eye surgery paid for by the u.s. army.::
he actually had to have a more invasive form of eye
surgery (PRK) due to the dimensions of his eyes,
and this left him with a bag chock full of medications.
thumbs up for near perfect vision!
we've spent the last day living in darkness whenever possible.
i've tried to be a good nurse and remind him of medications,
but really my nursely duties have just entailed
driving him to dairy queen the last two nights for blizzards.
{bonus for me!}
the poor guy has to wear sunglasses in the house,
usually with a pillow against his eyes to shield further light,
and has to have me look at his iphone to pick out
'this american life' podcasts because the screen is too bright...
and he can't read.
there's been a lot of
"i wear my sunglasses at night"
singing.
actually, i've found a side effect of all these medications he's on
is a lot more singing to me in general
{one of my favorite things in the whole world}.
imagine that.
thank you, percocet?
here's to hoping for a speedy recovery!
